Paul Lawrence (of Lawrence and Lorsch, “Organizations and Environment”, 1967 fame) has a website relating to his current work attempting to reintegrate a wide variety of theories of human behavior from economics and sociology, to psychology and cultural anthropology. This is the kind of endeavor that only great (and tenured and usually retired-from-teaching) scholars can (or arguably should) attempt.
A holistic understanding of human behavior, like Grand Unification Theory, would be a tremendous accomplishment and an enduring legacy. I encourage you to visit the site and read Professor Lawrence’s manuscript “Being Human“.
